The thermal insulation properties of shirasu balloons have been applied to curtains.
Our company offers "insulating curtains" that are lighter and have thermal insulation properties compared to traditional coated curtains. Shirasu balloon is a natural material (shirasu) that has been mined from the Shirasu plateau, formed over a long period from layers of volcanic ash. It is a fine hollow body that has been sintered and expanded at a high temperature of 1000°C.
